Eugene "Fuzzy" Battaglini

Eugene "Fuzzy" Battaglini, 88, of Jupiter, Florida and formerly of Endicott, NY and Ithaca, NY, died October 2, 2025.

He was born in Endicott, New York, son of Gene and Olga Tonelli Battaglini. Eugene was educated at Union Endicott High School, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Broome and SUNY Oneonta. He married Susan Haungs in 1963 in Douglaston, New York. Eugene worked as a pharmaceutical salesman which led him to his career as the Administrator to Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home in Ithaca.

Eugene was an extremely talented basketball player in his youth; in his adult life, he loved spending time with his family, boating on Cayuga Lake and spending his winters in Jupiter, Florida with many cherished friends.

Surviving are his three devoted daughters, Christine (Brian) Rosenberger of Montgomery, New York, Susan (Lee) Carulli of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Kathleen (Michael) Owens of Waterville, New York; his treasured 8 grandchildren, Lauren (Andrew), Matthew (Shannon), Kevin, Allie, Rachel, Gavin, Kyle and Nathan; his 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Madelyn, Carter and Sadie; a sister, Kathleen Battaglini Duven of San Francisco, California; a brother-in-law, Robert King of Long Island and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wynn hospital and the Siegenthaler Center.

In keeping with Eugene's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St., Sauquoit.
