Eugene R. "Gene" Bulmahn

Eugene R. "Gene" Bulmahn, 83, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on January 21, 2026, Eugene was united in marriage to Helen Hoevel on May 6, 1972, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Carrie Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; and three sisters-in-law, Barb (Vern Stork) Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana, Barbara Bulmahn of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Colleen Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Bulmahn; and three brothers, Leroy, Willis, and Larry Bulmahn. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
