Eugene Eldridge Calley, 94, of New Hampton Road, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, in Boscawen, NH.

Eugene was born on January 15, 1927, in Andover, NH, the son of Dallas and Rose (Kenniston) Calley.

He was a proud United States Army veteran. He worked as a contractor for 55 years. After retiring, never one to sit still, he could be found at one of his sons' job sites with a helping hand, many stories, and a clear way on how they should be getting the job done.

He loved to jump in the car to go for a ride, the destination never mattered. Most importantly, he was happiest when he was entertaining you with his stories and sharp wit. He was always ready with a joke... or ten, and his infectious laugh.

Eugene is survived by his daughter Kimberly Hart of Laconia; his sons, Jeffrey Calley and his wife Susan of Franklin, Gregory Calley and his wife Dawn of Sanbornton, and Kevin Calley of Sanbornton; his grandchildren, Amber Costa, Matt Calley, Brittany Calley, Elisha Boucher, Taylor St. Jacques, Ashley Hart, Daniel Calley, Jason Calley, and Hope Calley; and his beloved four great-grandchildren: Lilly, Wyatt, Emma and Piper. In addition to his parents, Eugene is predeceased by his loving wife Violet (Puffinburger) Calley.

A Celebration of Life will be private with immediate family.
