Gene Christian died peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 56. Born in Staten Island, NY on July 06, 1968, Gene was a graduate of Oneonta University and Muhlenberg Nursing School. He dedicated his life to caring for others with a long career as a registered nurse in New York and New Jersey before settling in Dunellen.
Gene is predeceased by his parents, Eugene G and Jahn Marie (Gallagher) Christian. He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca (Bauer) Christian, their children Nicholas and twins Emily and Alexander, all of Dunellen. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Raymond and Steven and their families, his Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Donald Nickson, as well as his Uncle Daniel and Aunt Joan Gallagher.
Gene was a loving father, wonderful brother and dear friend. His boisterous laughter, kind heart, and unwavering optimism will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a role-playing game enthusiast, spending hours with family and friends creating unforgettable characters and exploring fantastical worlds. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Visitation is on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 1:00PM – 4:00PM at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen NJ 08812. Services will be at 3:00PM in the funeral home. Cremation is private. He was a dedicated volunteer at the local American Legion. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Legion at:
