Eugene M. Emmons Sr., 69, of Manchester, passed away on November 1, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Peggy Ann (Necomb) Emmons for 47 wonderful years.
Born in Nashua on January 9, 1956, Eugene was the son of the late Theresa (Lemay) and Maurice Emmons. He grew up to be an umpire for USA Softball of NH for over 30 years; a calling that was dear to his heart.
From an early age, Eugene was known for his infectious laugh and his enthusiasm for games and sports; especially street hockey, softball, and darts. A true fixture in his community, he dedicated many hours to umpiring softball games, mentoring players of all ages, and spreading joy both on and off the field.
Eugene is survived by his children, Jean Rodriguez, Nikki Emmons, and Eugene Emmons Jr. and his wife Rebecca. He will also be remembered by his 12 grandchildren: Zack, Adam, Adelia, Zyler, Jylynn, David, Luna, Star, Skyy, Sunni, Emmanuel, and Cassidy; as well as his great-grandchildren, Elijah and Journey. Eugene is also survived by his siblings, Andy, George, Joseph, Armand, Bobby, Raymond, Marylou, Peggy, and Rosie, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Eugene's visitation on WEDNESDAY, November 12th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Graveside service information to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family's GoFundMe at https://www.gofundme.com/f/5e95p-support-genes-family-in-their-time-of-loss.
