Eugene Clyde Gregg went to Heaven on Monday December 2, 2025.
Eugene was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on March 7, 1948 to Duane and Blanche Gregg, they moved to Bloomington where Eugene grew up and went to school. He was in the first class to graduate from the new John F. Kennedy High School in 1966. He enlisted into the United States Marines in 1969 and became an Airborne Navigator with Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron 152. He was Honorably discharged in 1973. Eugene worked for Gopher News for many years.
He loved to go fishing, camping, riding motorcycles. He played softball, did some skiing and a lot of repairing TV's and computers. He loved taking pictures! Eugene was a great fan of all of his nieces and nephews. He would go to as many of their activities as he could and cheered them on!
He met the love of his life, Carole Norby in 1975, He had a ready-made family with Carole and her children. They were together until Carole passed away in 2016. Eugene is survived by his siblings Norman Gregg (Mary), Pam Haynes, Barry Gregg (Barb), Randy Gregg (Wendy), Marijo Gregg Peterson (Phil). Carole's children, Vicki Norby Rivkin (Bobby Rivkin), Steffany Norby Chazin (Brad Chazin) and Kevin Norby. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Blanche Gregg, Carole Norby and his brother-in-law, Charles Haynes.
A memorial service for Eugene will be held later in May of next year.
