Gene was the guy you wanted on your Thanksgiving Day football team. The kid was a good athlete.

Gene was a kind soul and I always enjoyed hearing about his hunting and fishing adventures. From the first time I met Gene I was very comfortable around him, like visiting with an old friend. I will miss him. He was kind and a wonderful friend.

My brother, Gene Hogan, was a profound human being who deeply loved his family, his wife, Sharon, and friends. He was so very smart. He loved animals like crazy, which I always found funny since he loved to hunt so much. He was also a great fisherman and loved to eat his catches. He loved living in Eaton, CO, with his wife, Sharon, on their ranch with 2 horses and various farm cats who grew to love and sit by Gene all the time, especially when he was sick. He is sorely missed, but made a great impact on life and shared his love and strength with others. I miss him dearly and thank Sharon for staying by his side during a long, painful illness that took great strength and courage to endure, for both of them. Please leave a memory of Gene. As a family, we would love to hear how he touched your lives.
