Eugene Wilson Lancaster, Jr., 73 of Supply, NC died Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on March 2, 1951, a son of the late Eugene Wilson Lancaster, Sr. and Ophelia Mae Varnam Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Richard Lancaster and Eugene (Gene) Lancaster, III; brothers-in-law Obrien Holden and Phil Johnson and nephew Allan Holden.
Eugene was the owner and operator of Lancaster Oyster House in Varnamtown and after many years of service, he retired in 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Gale Johnson Lancaster; sister Julia Holden of Varnamtown, NC; Aunt Virginia Norton of Shallotte, NC; brother-in-law John Earl Johnson and wife (Janet); daughter-in-law Jessica Lancaster; a niece Susan Holden along with numerous cousins and his beloved cat Zee Bee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM, Friday, September 6, 2024, in Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel officiated by Reverend Mark Smith and Reverend Lonnie Varnam. Burial will follow in Varnam Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lancaster, Ryan Lancaster, Nathan Swain, Martin McDonald, Eddy Bellamy. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Haas, Nicky Varnam and Ennis Swain.
