Born in Orange, N.J., he lived most of his life in Montclair, N.J. before settling in Verona 9 years ago. He was a self-employed mechanic in the automotive industry. Eugene enjoyed building models of battleships and war planes. Eugene had a very gentle soul and was very well liked.
Predeceased by his mother, Susan Monahan, his sister, Patricia Kerr, and Jerry Monahan, he is survived by his wife, Audrey J. Monahan (nee: Mulvenna); brother, James Monahan, and his wife, Kari; sister, Susan Bulger-Monahan; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Joe Calamito, and his wife, Debbie; and many other friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, 194 Rt. 10, East Hanover, N.J. 07936.
