Visitation Friday, December 19 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home (60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale). Funeral Saturday, December 20: prayer at 10:00 a.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home; mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church (5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs), followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside). In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Gene had a strong, quiet and loving presence. Just days before he passed to his next life, I got a hug and condolences on the recent loss of my mother.

So sorry for your loss. Gene was a valued volunteer at DuPage Foundation. He was a class act introduced to me at the Foundation by another class act, Joe Lizzadro. Gene always had a smile and a kind word ready for me. We so appreciated him sharing his business acumen. He was also an excellent member of the Foundation's Grant Committee, discerning where limited dollars would make the biggest impact. May God rest his soul and let perpetual light shine upon him.
