Eugene C. Roznowski, age 95, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 2:40 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
He was born March 31, 1930 in DuQuoin, to George A. and Mabel M. (Shadle) Roznowski.
Eugene worked in autobody repair starting in 1947 for Copeland Motors, Inc. and continued in that work until retiring from Smith's Oldsmobile, Pontiac, GMC in 1987 after forty years in the business.
He was of the Catholic faith and was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of DuQuoin. From his grade school years until the Second Vatican Council he sang in the Sacred Heart Men's Choir. Eugene was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by several cousins, other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bernard Roznowski.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL.
A graveside service was held in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in DuQuoin on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. with Father John Igwe presiding. Those attending the service were asked to gather directly at the cemetery just prior to 12:00 p.m.
For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to Masses at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
