David John Roznowski affectionally known to everyone as "Roz", departed for his heavenly home on Wednesday January 22, 2025. Roz was born on July 30, 1964, in Lima, Ohio to Ervin and Ann Roznowski who preceded him in death. At the time of his passing, he was 60 years old. Roz graduated from Shawnee High School in 1982. On January 10th, 1992, He married the love of his life Heather (Settlage) Roznowski who survives in Lima.
Roz's journey was paved with remarkable achievements. Roz dedicated 24 years to the Army National Guard, he was a part of JDC ministries, he also welcomed teens into his home as a youth leader and was honored to go on mission trips to Kenya and Haiti. He co-authored a book titled Kingdom Commerce and was the Founder of the West Ohio Christian Chamber. Roz also founded The Neighborhood Relief Thrift Store and The Neighborhood Relief Ministries where he created The Food Truck and Baptism Trailer. There was so much more to Roz, as an ordained Pastor his calling was the streets where he delivered the Gospel that is only found in Jesus Christ. Along with his wife Heather they have fed and clothed thousands of people. Sharing the Gospel was not just a calling for Roz, it was his life purpose.
Roz is survived by his cherished wife Heather Ann (daughter of Ted and Mary Settlage and sister of Justin Settlage) who shared every adventure and quiet moment with him. His daughters Alyson Taylor Roznowski, and Olivia Nicole (Wyatt) Taylor, who will carry on his legacy of compassion and strength. Roz is also survived by his siblings, Danny Roznowski, Alan Roznowski and Diane Smith. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Ann and Ervin Roznowski.
In the words of scripture, Matthew 25:36 " I was naked, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you visited me, I was in prison, and you came to me."
Roz lived fully by this verse, ensuring his actions always spoke louder than words.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 24, 2025 from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Lima First Church, 1660 Findlay Road Lima, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00am at the church.
Family will be dressing in color to celebrate Roz's life, and we invite you to do so as well.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Worship Anyway or Remnant Worship.
