Kelli Schobelock Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 1, 2025.
Kelli Renee (Payne) Schobelock of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on June 26, 1963, in Alliance, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James and Betty (Hill) Payne of Steubenville.

In 1965, Kelli's family moved to Shiremanstown, Pennsylvania. In 1972, they relocated to a farm in northern Lebanon County-a place Kelli fondly remembered as the setting for the best years of her childhood. The family later settled in Springfield, Ohio, where Kelli graduated from Shawnee High School in 1981.

Kelli was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Kylene Young; her brother James "Eric" Payne; her sister Kyra DiBiase; and her mother-in-law Sandra Sue Schobelock.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Schobelock; her daughter Kyrbi (Tim) Murray; and stepchildren Adam (Mandy) Schobelock, Katrina Schobelock, Kyle Don (Erica) Schobelock, and Alex (Sydney) Schobelock. She is also survived by her sisters Karen (Scott) Edwards of Orangeville, Pennsylvania, and Kathi (Ron) Taylor of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; five nieces; and three nephews.

Though there will be no public services held in accordance with her wishes, those who wish to honor Kelli's memory may make memorial donations to the Alpha-1 Foundation at 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33143. Words of condolence may be shared at www.newcomercolumbus.com.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
