Eugene Richard Schmitz, Jr age 61 of Barrington, NH, passed away on November 10, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Born in Portsmouth, NH on April 2, 1964. Son of Eugene Richard Schmitz, Sr. and Marlene Mae (Psalto) Schmitz.
He loved his job at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard along with his coworkers.
Eugene was kind, giving, unselfish, positive and caring for others.
His pride and joy were his nieces and nephews – he loved them immensely, especially their different personalities. They made him happy because they are all so strong.
Survived by his sisters Marlene Morgan and Joy Allen, brother John Morgan, nieces Gina Muffley, Bonnie Sweat, and Nicci Morgan, and nephews Tommie Ginn, Joey Allen, and Robert Smith. Predeceased by his brothers Michael Schmitz and John Bean.
A celebration of Eugene's life will be held at a later date.

Gene was a Gentleman in every sense of the word. He was always there to lend a hand or an ear to a coworker or friend in need.
Gene touched the lives of so many and will be sorely missed by those who had the honor of calling him Friend.
