Eugene J. Sisco

Eugene J. Sisco, 96, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. Eugene had been a longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, he was born on July 4, 1928, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Son of the late Joseph and Agnes Sisco. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as part of the occupation of Japan. Following an honorable discharge from the military, Eugene married Joanne M. Hahn in 1954, and they moved to Cuyahoga Falls to raise their family. Eugene retired from Firestone Bank, now JP Morgan Chase Bank. He previously attended St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years, and later Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel. 

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Joanne Sisco and sons, Michael Sisco and Raymond Sisco.

He is survived by his daughter Ann Marie Witherwax; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Sheila Sisco; daughter-in-law Penny Sisco; Grandchildren Kevin Sisco; Steven and Miriam Sisco and Levi Witherwax, along with several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 9-10 am at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Immediately following visitation, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.
