Eugene M Stockton

Eugene M. Stockton, 92, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2025, surrounded by love.

Born in Flint, Michigan, Gene lived a life defined by quiet strength, dedication, and deep devotion to family. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, followed by a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. In 1960, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Zaengle), beginning a 65-year partnership built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and enduring love.

Never one to stop learning, Gene later completed an MBA from Western New England College and attended the prestigious Advanced Management Executive Program at Harvard University. His professional life reflected his commitment to excellence. He spent most of his professional career with RCA Defense Electronics Systems in Camden, New Jersey and Burlington, Massachusetts, where he rose through positions of Chief Engineer and Division Vice President, eventually retiring from Raytheon Defense & Electronics as Chief Engineer and Manager of the Laboratory Division in 1997.

Though proud of his professional accomplishments, Gene's true joy came from his family. He delighted in being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Whether supporting his children's activities, carefully tending to the family home in Acton, Massachusetts, or simply enjoying a round of golf, Gene found happiness in life's simple and shared moments.

In 2001, Gene and Barbara moved to Naples, Florida, where he continued to enjoy the game, he loved and gave back to his community as president of the Julianna Village Homeowners Association.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Barbara; his son, John; his daughter, Helen; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren - all of whom carry forward his legacy of kindness, integrity, and quiet wisdom.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
