Linda Camille Severini

Linda Camille Severini, 70, of Naples, Florida, passed away September 21, 2025.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph G. Ruggiero.

The daughter of C. George and Felicia "Phyllis" Severini, she was born April 7, 1955, in Eatontown, N.J. She was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School and Monmouth University. An expert and mentor in military supply chain management, her career with the Department of the Army at Fort Monmouth, N.J., spanned 35 years.

Living also in Sea Bright and Oceanport, the Jersey Shore was her home for most of her life. After retirement, the Gulf Coast called. From there, she and Joe traveled the world, enjoying cruises to nearly every port of call.

Linda was an avid and accomplished cook – from her four-course Italian feasts to her famous fried chicken, cornbread, and potato salad. Her holiday cookie trays, especially her legendary nuthorns, were eagerly awaited and quickly devoured.

She was also a talented writer and artist. "Tiger's Tale," an illustrated short story about her beloved cat, was published in 2017. Her vibrant paintings brighten the walls of family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert W. Severini. She is survived by her brother, George C. Severini, of Fair Haven, N.J., and her niece, Kaitlin Severini, of Gilbert, Ariz.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. October 13 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, Fla.
