With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Zada Lou Young, who entered eternal rest on February 22, 2026, in
Naples, Florida. She was born on October 10, 1945, in Ohio, a place whose steady values and close-knit spirit she carried with her throughout her life.
Zada was a proud graduate of Jackson County High School, where her gentle nature and bright spirit were already evident to those around her. On April 7, 1962, she married the love of her life, Harold Young. Their marriage was a testament to enduring devotion - a partnership rooted in faith, laughter, resilience, and unwavering love. Together they built a life centered on family, creating a home filled with warmth and welcome.
Throughout her professional life, Zada worked in communications, lending her calm voice and compassionate presence to both Answer Rite Answering Service and Naples Community Hospital. She understood that sometimes the most important work is done quietly - a reassuring word, a steady tone, a reminder that someone is there and listening. Her work was not just a career; it was an extension of her caring heart.
Above all else, Zada cherished her family. She poured herself into those she loved, finding joy in everyday moments and pride in the lives unfolding around her. She also possessed a creative soul. Painting and drawing were among her greatest pleasures, and through her art she captured the beauty she so naturally saw in the world. Her hands created what her heart already knew - that life, in all its forms, is worthy of appreciation.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Young, and her beloved daughter, Mary Young (Keith), who carry forward her legacy of kindness, creativity, and steadfast love.
Zada was preceded in death by her parents, her grandchildren Barbara and Christopher Jones, and her sister Tina Sowder.
Though no formal services are planned at this time, Zada's life will be celebrated quietly and continually by those who knew her best - in shared memories, in treasured artwork, in the enduring strength of family bonds, and in the gentle reminders of love she leaves behind.
She was deeply loved. She will be profoundly missed. And she will be remembered always.
