He was born in Flat Mary, Kentucky to the late Monroe and Naomi Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Turner and Bill Turner and his sisters, Emma Haddix and Elizabeth Turner.
Buddy was a devoted member of Millers Branch Baptist Church in Jackson. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed traveling, playing the guitar, fishing, four-wheeling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathy Turner; sons, Michael Turner and Brad Turner; sister, Effie Jackson; six cherished grandchildren, Brady Turner, Lily Turner, Braelon Turner, Savannah Stiles, Olivia Stiles, and Dakota Martin.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with additional services at 7:00 PM officiated by John Phipps, Archie Combs and Bryan Combs Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Bryan Combs Jr. and Archie Combs in charge of the services. Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Buddy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
