Eugene A Vigna

Eugene A Vigna 91 of Manchester passed away Thursday August 29, 2024, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Lakewood from 1956- 2003 before moving to Manchester. He retired as a Detective Sgt from the Lakewood Police Dept in 1981 after 20 years of service. He served in the army in Korea from 1953-1955. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling overseas especially to Italy. He enjoyed listening to Italian music including his favorites Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Roselli. He was artistic and enjoyed doing stained glass, painting, woodworking, and drawing. He liked cooking and cherished family meals together. He is predeceased by his wife Marcella in 2023. Surviving are his children, sons Steven Vigna and Eugene Vigna, daughters Susan Bell, Nancy Vigna, Anne Stone, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral Liturgy is Thursday 9:30 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with entombment to follow at St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude place, Memphis, TN 38105.
