Eugenia "GiGi" Cronnon, 63, a resident of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Pruitt Nursing Facility. Ms. Cronnon, daughter of the late Charles Ray Rhoades and Joyce Ann Ward Rhoades, was born on February 2, 1962, in Scottsboro, Alabama. She was a 1978 graduate of East Ridge High School and was a Baptist by faith. Ms. Cronnon worked as a paralegal for over 15 years and retired from the Mary Jane P. Melton Law Firm in Lafayette, Georgia. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach with her family. While at home, she looked forward to cooking for family and friends and decorating for the holidays. She also enjoyed listening to classic rock and watching horror movies. However, the one thing she always looked forward to was spending quality time with her family. The family recalls her as a fiery lady with a great sense of humor-yet one who could melt your heart.
Ms. Cronnon is survived by two sons, William Joshua Cronnon of Nashville, Tennessee, and Charles Justin Cronnon of Rossville, Georgia; two brothers, Charles Ray Rhoades, Jr. of Ringgold, Georgia, and Steven Rhoades of Rossville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Charles Saige Cronnon, Josslyn Swayzee Cronnon, Alyssa Jade Cronnon, and Elizabeth Jenna Cronnon; former husband and friend, William Vassey Cronnon; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Calvary Gardens Mausoleum, 2200 S. Cedar Lane, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, prior to the service on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
