Eugenia Earle Sherrill

Eugenia "Jean" E. Couch Sherrill of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed into the arms of her heavenly family on October 21, 2025, at the age of 90. She became a world traveler after marrying our father, Keith W. Sherrill, Sr. And after he retired from the Air Force, she became a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a longtime volunteer of the Forgotten Child Fund and worked as a Chattanooga school patrol officer. She also enjoyed gardening and could grow anything.

Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle R. Gross and John D. Couch; her former husband, Keith W. Sherrill, Sr.; sisters: Kathryn Long, Anna Mathis, Virginia J. Smith, and Nancy Robertson; brothers, James Couch, David Couch and half-brother Gene Howard; and daughters, Donna (Sherrill) Holt and Catherine Sherrill.

She is survived by her daughter Georgia (Sherrill) LaBudie, son-in-law Mike LaBudie and her son Keith W. Sherrill, Jr.; her sister, Mary "Snookie" Stephens; her sister-in-law, Connie Couch, and her brother-in-law, V. Wayne Sherrill; grandchildren: Adin Holt, Gina Wilkins (Kris Wilkins), Kayla Wilkins (Tyler Wilkins), K. Wayne Sherrill (Rainey Sherrill), Cody Sherrill, and Danielle Sherrill; great-grandchildren, Issac Holt, Kaitlyn Wilkins, Hailey Wilkins, Hunter Wilkins, K. Wayne Sherrill, Jr and Caleb Nix, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415, on November 16, 2025 at 2pm for visitation and 3pm chapel service.
