Eugenio Odango Obituary
Born on July 18, 1952, in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines, Eugenio dedicated his life to service. He was a proud, retired U.S. Navy Veteran who honorably served his country from 1978 to 1998, serving in various shore stations in Norfolk to overseas tours in the Western Pacific and Bahrain.
Following his military career, Eugenio retired to the Philippines, where he enjoyed spending his time pursuing his passions for fishing and farming with his devoted wife, Bonnavie, and their daughter, Georgina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrio and Nimpha Odango, and Brigida Abitong Odango, his beloved late wife of 38 years.
Eugenio is survived by his wife, Bonnavie Odango. He leaves a legacy through his six children:
* Aurora (Jason) Alaniz of Suffolk, VA
* Ginalyn (Rany) Odango of Mindoro, Philippines
* Philip (David) Odango of Chicago, IL
* Josephine (Chad) Bellinger of Fredericksburg, VA
* Amethyst (Cory) Odango of Virginia Beach, VA
* Georgina Odango of Mindoro, Philippines
The third of twelve, "Nonong" will be deeply missed by his 11 siblings and their spouses and families, as well as his grandchildren in the U.S. and the Philippines.
A visitation will take place from 2-4pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 4pm.
