Eula "Tootsie" Rulene McGuire, born on September 28, 1926, in Peeltown, Texas, and a beloved resident of Kemp, Texas, passed away on December 21, 2025.

 A dedicated homemaker, Tootsie was known for being a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated with the class of 1943 from Kemp High School, having previously attended Peeltown School during her grade school years.  Tootsie was cherished by all who knew her, embodying a spirit of love and kindness that endeared her to friends and family alike. Her warm personality earned her a special place in the hearts of many. She had a remarkable talent for making the best tea in town, which became a memorable trait among her loved ones.  Tootsie’s interests included spending time with her family and lovingly tending to her dogs. She also found joy in completing jigsaw puzzles, often sharing her passion for this simple yet satisfying hobby with her children and grandchildren.  Tootsie's proudest accomplishment was the family she raised and nurtured, which continues to flourish.

Tootsie is preceded in death by her parents, James Floyd and Allie Dell Patterson; husband, Earl Baxter McGuire; son, Earl Ray McGuire; granddaughter, Kathy Mays; great-grandson, Kevin Mays; and great-great grandson, Kyson McGuire.

Tootsie is survived by her daughters, Glenda Moseley, Janis Archer, Rita Langston and husband James, Kay Sloan and husband Steve, June Newman and husband Buck “Hillbilly”, and Debbie Baldwin. Tootsie is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
