Eulala Cook

Eulala Cook, age 88 of Murphy, NC, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Eulala, a native of Murphy, was a member of First United Methodist Church and was of the Baptist faith.

Eulala was born on November 24, 1936, to the late John Lester and Kate Clonts Stiles. She retired from Contelle/Verizon with over 35 years of service. Eulala went back to work after retiring to work beside her husband Marvin and worked at Cochran Funeral Home for 12 years. Eulala loves spending her time outdoors gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 65 years, Marvin Cook; four brothers, Ray, Troy, Gordon, and J.L. Stiles; and two sisters, Leota Stiles and Eureka Ledford.

She is survived by two nieces, whom she thought of as daughters, Lisa Pendley (Reggie) and Hope Phillips (Rondal), all of Murphy. Nieces, Pat Stone (David) and Pam Sandidge (Terry). One nephew, Terry Scott Stiles (Kim) of Murphy. Two sisters-in-law, Sue Newton and Deanie Stiles. Several Great Nieces & Nephews: Megan Wells, Austin Phillips, Kayla Stiles, Ashley Stiles, Lauren McClure, and Alyssa Phillips. Two Great-Great Nieces: Kinsley Price and Charlotte Kate McClure as well as several other nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by Special Cousins, Brenda Osborne, John Osborne & Syble Magness.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, with Rev. Harold Stiles officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Stiles, Austin Phillips, Reed Dockery, Tyler McClure, Cobly Wells, and David Laney.

The following gentlemen will serve as honorary Pallbearers: Richard Newton, Tony Graham, David Yonce & Ben Chastain.

The family will recieve friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home, Murphy, NC.
