Eunice “Yvonne” Yvonne Mitchell

Eunice "Yvonne" Mitchell, 91 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on January 23, 1934, born to Eunice and William "Bill" Wicker, in Fred, LA. Yvonne was known for her passion for serving her Heavenly Father. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Gary Mitchell and wife, Elke; daughters, Lori Ray and Lisa Alford and husband, Roland; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Kristi Watson (Kyle), Bryan Alford (Jen), and Kaitlyn Haralson (James), Braxton Ray (Parker); and 7 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her world.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Joseph Mitchell; father, William Harper Wicker; mother, Eunice Aline Rodriguez Wicker; brother, Billy Wicker; and sister, Peggy Spangler.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Thursday, from 9:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:30 PM, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Babin. The graveside service and burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
