Gradene Barham beloved Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, and Friend, passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on January 6, 1937, in Wink, Texas to Grady and Vera Bingham. Gradene graduated from Odessa High School in 1955 and later received her bachelor's degree from North Texas State University.
During her last year in college, she married her lifetime friend and love, Edward Earl Barham on June 22, 1958. They had two children, Dena Lynn Barham and Brett David Bingham Barham. Ed preceded Gradene in death in 2019 and Brett preceded her in death in 2023.
Besides her children, Gradene's passion was service to others. She was a member of the Junior League of Odessa and was an active member in her church. She also helped start Odessa Christian Women's Club. Her life was a living example of one of her favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Gradene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dena and Gregory Gray; grandchildren, Christina Lim and her husband Gerald; Trent Gray and his wife Melissa; Erica Parker and her husband Michael; Nick Barham and his fianc Ellie; Cooper Barham and his wife Lauren; and Molly Barham; daughter-in-law Stacy Barham; plus 10 great grandchildren; Sister-in-law Pat Barham; niece and nephews and all of her many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Stonegate Odessa Church on Wednesday, February 28 at 3:00 pm. Afterwards, please join the family in celebrating her life at Odessa Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations towards the UTPB Medical Professions at 4901 E. University, Odessa, TX 79762
