Eva Lou Benton- Rhoades 87, of Greenville, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at UPMC Horizon Greenville.
Born on July 3, 1938, in Charleroi, PA, to Henry and Priscilla (VanVoorhis) Turnbull. She was raised by her uncle Norman Turnbull after the death of her father.
She was married to Murvel Hall on April 27, 1957, and he preceded her in death in 1963.
She then married Rodney Benton on August 14, 1965, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2010.
Eva Lou then married Carl Rhoades on April 30, 2011, and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2018.
She was a 1956 graduate of Pymatuning Area Joint High School and Shenango Valley Business School. Eva Lou worked for 7 years as the bookkeeper for Pymatuning Independent. Telephone company, and 17 years as the bookkeeper/secretary for Reynolds Construction Co.
She spent many years as an officer for Pymatuning Little League in Transfer, PA, as well as being active in two golf leagues and several bowling leagues over the years. Eva Lou was a member of a card club with her friends for over 40 years, and a member of Mercer County Mental Health. She had a love for all animals, especially her dog and cat.
She is survived by her twin sons Rick & Randy Hall both of Reynolds; three stepsons, Kyle (Carla) Benton of Reynolds, Andrew (Mary Beth) Benton of Tucson, Aaron Benton of Reynolds; Douglas (Malissa) Rhoades of Hartstown, Michele Rhoades of Alexandria, VA, Christine (Rich) Bargdill, and Kathryn (Michael) Kelly of Greenville; daughter-in-law Martha Benton of Hermitage; Ten step grandchildren, Jimmy, Jonathon, Jeremy, and Kyle Benton, Stephanie (Matthew) Myers, Daniel Kelly, Shannon Kelly, Jacob and Eli Rhoades, Quin Bargdill; five step great grandchildren, Audrey, Caleb, and Frances Benton, Madisyn, and Vaughn Myers.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by; brother Norman Turnbull, stepson Brandt Benton.
