Eva Jean Burke

Graveside memorial services celebrating the life of Eva Jean Burke, 81, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 24, 2025 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun.
Jean was born on February 17, 1944, in El Dorado, Arkansas and passed away on October 18, 2025 in Ruston. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church, West Monroe. She was a co-owner of Burke Trucking. Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Tawana Roy; parents, Eldannie Brown and Dollie Brown Davis; step-father, Cecil Davis; brother, Donnie Brown; sister, Linda Lois Brown; sister-in-law, Norma Brown; brother-in-law, Richard Jones; and daughter-in-law, Victoria Roy.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Hattaway (Randy); and son, William Glen Roy, Jr. The apples of her eye were her grandchildren, Justin Hattaway (Maria), Stephanie Carpenter (Ronny), David Hattaway and Amanda Mockosher (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Emma and Colin Hattaway, June, Tripp and Annie Carpenter. Also left to cherish her memory are her brother, Richard Brown; sister, Anitha Jones; sister-in-law, Judy Brown; and her bonus children, Matt Lawrence (Sandra), Jason Lawrence (Lisa), Juanacha Lawrence and Jonathan Burke (Ruth); numerous nieces and nephews; along with other cherished family and friends.
