Sarah passed away on November 12, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on January 9, 1930 in Monroe, Louisiana to Tom and Irene Roark Sones. Sarah was a longtime employee of the State of Louisiana, working as a clerk in the Conservation Office. She also was a member of Stone Avenue Methodist-Protestant Church and played the piano every Sunday. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, L.F. Cummings, Jr.; parents, Tom and Irene Roark Sones; sisters, Elsie Domke and Rosemary Martin; and brother, D.H. Sones.
Sarah is survived by her sons, Gerald Cummings and wife Karla, Dale Cummings; daughter, Judy Carr and husband Ken; grandchildren, Traci Ramirez and husband Miguel, Kimberly Loe and husband Tommy, Tiffany Jeppson and husband Michael, Stacy Alcala and husband Elijah, Kristy Klein and husband Jeremy; 9 great-grandchildren; and other cherished family and friends.
Honoring Sarah as pallbearers are Johnny Semmes, Alexander Loe, Tommy Loe, Ken Carr, Dale Cummings and Gerald Cummings.
