Eva June (Nix) Cantrell, 77, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023.  She was born in Helen, Georgia on June 15, 1946, to the late Fred Cantrell and Claudine Palmer Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Cantrell, sisters, Wilma Dorsey, and Loretta Slaton, and brother-in-law, Roger Slaton.

Eva was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen (Amber) Nix, Spencer (Renee) Nix; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry (Tommy) Swanson; brother and sister-in-law, Ron (Helen) Cantrell; sister-in-law, Barbara Cantrell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol (Jack) Westmoreland, Jeanie (Buford) Kinsey; grandchildren, Deyton Nix, Colyn Nix, Zach Swanson, Alex Swanson, Drew Swanson, Cameron Harris, Jordon Nix, Nathan Wilbanks; and great-grandchild, Ellie Wilbanks.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barrett Funeral Home, 118 N Brooks St Cleveland, GA 30528.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homespun Hospice at 308 N Wall St, Calhoun, GA 30701.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Eva June (Nix) Cantrell.
