Eva Barker Cranfill, 86, passed away at home on January 18, 2026. Eva was born on June 26, 1939, to Stella Richardson Barker and Percy Gaither Barker in Yadkin County. She retired from Forsyth County Social Services where she enjoyed her work as a secretary. Eva had an eye for beauty, and was known for her gardening skills, especially the lovely peonies in her yard. Her creativity extended to many other areas including crochet, painting, and sewing. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, John Spencer Cranfill, Jr. Surviving are her sons, John Spencer Cranfill, III, Robert “Bob” Cranfill, and Tim Cranfill; grandchildren, Amber Spencer, and Austin; great grandchildren, Dominic and Avery.
