Mr. Gray Wilkins Cranfill, 83, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025. He was born September 19, 1941 in Rowan County to the late Andrew Burton Cranfill and Nettie Polly Wilkins Cranfill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Carol Warden Cranfill. Mr. Cranfill enjoyed watching car shows and racing. In his early years he loved farming. He is survived his sons, David Cranfill (Jamie), Tony Cranfill (Carly); grandchildren, Rylee Cranfill (fiancé Alex Noriega), Isaac Cranfill. A private graveside service will be held at Courtney Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank social worker Shana Grady at Wake Forest Atrium Health, the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice, the staff of Willowbrook Health Care, Courtney Fire Department, Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, and Yadkin County Emergency Services Paramedic Kelly Byrd for the loving care shown to Gray. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Cranfill family.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
