Eva Mae (Schuyler) Danforth 96, Oneida, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Anna John Nursing Home. Eva was born November 20, 1925 to the late James and Hattie (Moore) Schuyler.
On July 1, 1946, Eva married Leslie J Danforth and they enjoyed 55 years together until his passing, December 11, 2001. Eva Served as secretary and councilwoman for the Oneida Business Committee throughout the 60's and into the 1970's. She held several house-keeping jobs and ultimately retired from the Wisconsin Job Service Department in Green Bay.
Eva is survived by two sons, Gerald (Pam) and James (Joanne), both of Oneida; one daughter, Joanne (Bruce – deceased)) Smith, Howard; and special children, Jerry and Joan Oesau and Snow Danforth. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Paul (Virna) Jameson Cedar Creek, Texas; Steve (Cathy) Jameson, Stafford, Virginia; Tanya (Steve) Wood, Saint John's, Florida; Jay (Marty) Danforth, Jacksonville, Florida; Patrick Danforth, Oneida; Daniel Danforth, Phoenix, Arizona; Kristina (Pete) Denny, Oneida; Jessica (Conrad) King, Oneida; Kelly (Joe) Danforth, Oneida; Justine (Mike) Souto, Appleton; Godchildren, Donna Denny, Amy Cornelius Peggy Doxtater, and Leslie Ness; many great-grandchildren, and hundreds of nieces and nephews.
She is further survived by sisters Pearl (Lee – deceased) McLester, Evelyn (Raymond-deceased) Elm, Harriet (Warren – deceased) Reiter and Cleo (Wayne – deceased) Cornelius.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hattie, sisters Barbara (Donald) Denny, Mary (Nick) Metoxen, Rita (Arthur) Webster. Brothers Joseph Schuyler, Lester (Althea) Schuyler and two grandsons Thomas Danforth and James B Smith.
Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022. A service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Oneida United Methodist Cemetery.
