Eva Patricia Grimaldi, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at the age of 95 in Passaic, New Jersey. Born on October 22, 1929, in Hoboken, NJ, she was the cherished daughter of the late Gustavo and Maria Ovarsi. Eva was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph, her brothers Mario and Gus, and her sisters Ione and Yolanda. Her vibrant spirit lives on through her surviving sister, Nanette, her devoted children, Christine and William LoCascio, Lisa and Richard Kaiser, Ralph Grimaldi, and Robert and Hiromi Grimaldi, as well as her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eva's life was a testament to the power of education and hard work. A proud graduate of Demerest High School in Hoboken, she furthered her skills at Drake Business School in Jersey City and polished her poise at Barbizon Modeling School in NYC. Her professional journey was marked by her role as a Secretary at Nu Way Vending in Ridgefield, NJ, where her meticulous nature and warm personality were highly valued. Eva's passion for civic engagement shone through her service as a two-term President of the Woman's Republican Club in Palisades Park and as the Secretary at The Palisades Park Municipal Pool, roles in which she made lasting contributions to her community.
In her early years, Eva graced the radio waves with her singing voice and later modeled clothing at numerous events, sharing her elegance and charm. Her biography, "A Message from Overseas," penned by her grandson Anthony LoCascio, captures the essence of her remarkable life. Eva's greatest joys were found in the company of her husband, Ralph, and her family. She relished in hosting gatherings at her home, where holidays and special occasions were celebrated with warmth and abundance.
Eva's legacy is one of unwavering love and spirit. She was the matriarch who embraced life with open arms, generously sharing her time and resources. Her grandchildren, Michael and Taryn LoCascio, Teresa and Mark DeLorenzo, Anthony and Marina LoCascio, Gia and Brendon Gallagher, Ralph Grimaldi, Roman Grimaldi, Travis and Roxanna Kaiser, and Miya Grimaldi and fiancé Anthony Desiato, remember her as the guiding light of their lives. Her great-grandchildren, Alex, Juliana, Daniella, Natalie, Alyssa, Kevin, Olivia, Giorgia, Mila, Rowan, Stellon, Santoro, and Giancarlo, will carry forward the lessons of kindness and joy she instilled in them.
Eva's presence will be profoundly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom benefited from her spirited nature and boundless generosity. She was the cornerstone of her family, a woman whose strength and love knew no bounds. Eva's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with dedication to her family, service to her community, and a passion for life that inspired all who knew her.
As we bid farewell to Eva Patricia Grimaldi, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the enduring impact she has left on the hearts of those she touched. Her story is one of triumph, love, and the beauty of a life well-lived. Though she may have departed from this world, her spirit will continue to guide and uplift us, just as the memories of her love will remain forever etched in our hearts.

Eva was one of a kind! Her great heart, her candor and her sly smile will always remain with me. I have had the privilege of knowing her for only a short time but her joi de vivre should remind us that life is short and we should live to the fullest!

Oh my dear tablemate & friend Eva, we miss you so much! You were such a loving joy to be around; a generous soul. You left before I got to give you the new jar of parmeasan cheese I bought for you. Love you lots. When I heard you passed, my 1st thought was that you'd miss out on the most anticpated ceremony on Nov 8th. But Nonina will be overseeing EVERY moment from above, dancing her heart away with love. Please know her heart will be there for the happy couple. I'm glad Tom got to meet you Easter night & sends his sympathy. Carmel misses you so much. She & I know you are in a better place; suffering no longer. God Bless You my sweet & loving friend. To her MOST BELOVED family, my heartfelt sympathy.
