Eva Mae Mangruem

Eva Mae Mangruem of Rockford departed this earthly life October 29, 2024. She was born November 22, 1944 in Huntsville, Alabama the daughter of Fred and Daisy Turner. Eva lived in Rockford over 60 years coming from Huntsville. She was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant many years, serving at many nursing homes. Eva was also a certified foster parent many years. She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She attended schools in Alabama, later to receive her G.E.D. while in Rockford and attended Rock Valley College receiving her certification in nursing.
Eva leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Carolyn Mangruem; two sons, Tim Mangruem and Gary Tyrone Mangruem; 21 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Abernathy; a host nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Frank Mangreum Jr. and daughter, Theresa Mangruem; sister, Fannie Watkins and brothers, Alfred Turner, James Turner, Ned Turner, John Turner and Albert Turner.
Services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, November 8, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
