Eva Flossy Spencer, age 91, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on November 8, 2024, at Medilodge in Traverse City, Michigan. She was born on February 6, 1933, in Capac, Michigan to Henry and Nellie (Deming) Bowman.
Eva attended the Adult Alternate High School and was a devout member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she participated in various church-related activities. Eva dedicated much of her life to her family and community, embracing roles as a housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother with unwavering love and commitment. Eva was deeply involved in her community; she was the cherished Den Mother when her sons participated in the Cub Scouts, a vibrant member of the Soo Senior Citizen Club House, and an enthusiastic member of the Red Hats. She was a cherished member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Eva enjoyed gardening, creating flower arrangements, working with Artex paintings, traveling, and engaging with adult coloring books, each reflecting her artistic spirit and love for beauty.
Eva is survived by her sons, Larry (Patti) Spencer of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and David Spencer of Ellsworth, Michigan; grandchildren, Jessica (John) Downs of Harrisburg, Oregon, Brandi (Mark) Trvdon of Quebec, Canada, Kenneth (Alexandra) Spencer of Fort Johnson, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, William (McKayla), Cythia, Riley, Griffin, River; great-great grandchildren, Colt and Hallie; and sisters, Inze (Paul) Gilman, and Ruth Ward.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nellie; brothers, Neil, Steve, Bruce, Wayne; and sisters, Grace and Julia.
A celebration of Eva's life will be announced at a later date.

Loving Eva and knowing Dave has been a gift. My daughter spent time with Eva as a companion. I was known to her as "Maya's mom", this was the best gift. Thank you Eva for gifting us with the opportunity to Love and for how you returned that Love. See you in Heaven for tea.
