Eva Sutherland Obituary

Mrs. Eva Sutherland, age 94, widow of the late Tom H. Sutherland, Sr., passed away at her home Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Born April 1, 1931 in Orangeburg, SC she was the daughter of the late Andrew Neal Farrell and the late Mary Ruth Park Farrell. Tom and Eva were married in 1950 and began their lives together in the Pine Grove community. Mrs. Sutherland was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church from 1950 until 2025 and served the Lord there in many capacities, including teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Eva displayed a Christ-like spirit in her daily walk and was always eager to serve others and give of herself, her time, her talents, and her love. Mrs. Sutherland enjoyed sharing her talent in the kitchen through delicious meals provided for family, friends, neighbors, and her church family.
In addition to her husband of 61 years and her parents, Mrs. Sutherland was predeceased by her son, William Frank Sutherland; her siblings, Mary Etta Patrick, Margaret Wetherington, and Andrew Farrell, Jr.; and her two daughters-in-law, Sandie S. Sutherland and Annette Sutherland.
Survivors include her son, Tom H. "Tommy" Sutherland, Jr.; her grandchildren, Courtney Sutherland Moore and husband Darrin and Tom H. "Trey" Sutherland, III; her great-grandchildren, Gavin Moore and wife Ashlyn, Colin Moore, Chloe Moore, Isabella Sutherland, and Madison Smart; her sisters-in-law, Betty Sutherland Eckersley and Mary Sutherland Hasell; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends that she cherished.
The family will receive friends at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 11:00AM Saturday, November 15, 2025. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. John Holmes and Rev. Bruce Davenport, will follow at 12:00PM with burial following in Graham Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 4686 Old Reaves Ferry Road, Conway, SC 29526.
