Frederick Davis Obituary

Frederick Guy Davis, age 73, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Davis was born September 29, 1952 a son of the late Fred and Hazel Smart Davis. He was a stand out student athlete at Glenelg High School (Glenelg, MD) and a proud graduate of Bucknell University where he lettered in basketball. Mr. Davis was an Energy Lobbyist in Washington D.C. for many years and served as the Director of the Maryland Energy Administration under Governor Bob Ehrlich. He was known as a great story teller and will be remembered as a loving son and father.
Survivors include his two sons, Riley Frederick Davis of Baltimore, MD and Conor Paul Davis of Denver, CO.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Pauley Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kirk Lawton officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Pauley Swamp Cemetery Trust, c/o 2875 Pee Dee Highway, Conway, SC 29527.
