Eva Alicia Springer Williams

October 30, 1947 - November 30, 2025

Funeral services celebrating the life of Eva Alicia Springer Williams of Converse, Louisiana will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at San Patricio Baptist Church, 41 San Patricio Road in Converse, Louisiana. Services will be officiated by Bro. Danny Asbell. Interment will follow immediately at the Cassell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Alicia was born to Johnnie Lewis Springer, Sr. and Eva Mae Drawhorn Springer on Thursday, October 30, 1947. She passed on into Glory on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

After graduating from Converse High School in 1965, Alicia married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Williams, on June 5th. Together they raised three children together - James, Lorraine, and Traci. She was a homemaker, a nurturing momma, and took pride in her family. Alicia was affectionately known as Boo Baby Boo Boo, Momma, Granny, Aunt Lisa, Cookie, Big Granny, and Mrs. Eva.

Alicia graduated from Louisiana School of Nursing in Mansfield in 1977. She began her nursing career as an LPN in the Emergency Department (ED) at DeSoto General Hospital. She was well loved and respected by her peers. In 1984, she graduated from Northwestern State University with an associate degree in nursing. After retiring in 2005, she continued to work part-time at LSUMC in the ED and Behavoral Health unit. Alicia was known for her excellent clinical skills, and she loved to mentor. She was a certified American Heart Association ACLS/CPR instructor. She taught lifesaving skills to countless numbers of medical students, EMTs, nurses, radiology technologists, etc.

She enjoyed a good garage sale, painting, bowling, playing pinochle and bingo, drinking little cokes, eating sweets, and watching her TV shows.

Alicia was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Roger Dale Springer, Oliver Allen Springer, and Cleveland Nelson Springer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Gaddis Gerald Williams; son, James Carlton Williams; daughters, Eva Lorraine Williams Hall (Mike) and Traci Lynn Williams Rochinich (Mike). Grandchildren: Jake Alexander Hall (Lauryn), Eva Katelyn Hall Bufkin (Aaron), Brandon Tyler Williams (Kenzie), Jaeson Michael Hall (Mary), Libby Madison Hall, and Jeremy Liam Hall (Lauren). Great grandchildren: Nash Hall, Lyla Normandin, Nixon Bufkin, Brynly Bufkin, Audrey Williams, Mila Malmay, Baker Hall, Eli Williams, Atticus Hall, Andi Hall, and Jane Hall. Siblings: Dannie O'Hara; Johnnie Lewis Springer, Jr; Robert Springer (Madeline); Kathy Watson (Benny); Francis Brown (Homer), Don Springer (Betty) and sisters-in-law, Diana Springer, Jackie Springer, and Lynelle Springer. Hosts of nieces & nephews. Fur babies: Scooter and Trump. Special friendship: Ms. Laura Ann Clark.

Honoring Alicia as pallbearers will be Dylan Cummings, Jake Hall, Aaron Bufkin, Tyler Williams, Jaeson Hall, and Jeremy Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hall and Mike Rochinich.

Family would like to thank the DeSoto Regional Hospital staff for their love and care during her final days.

Closing remarks: Alicia loved Jesus and talked to Him every day. She said that she never met a stranger and wants us to remember the smile on her face. Until we meet again...
