Michael “Mike” Troy McDonald, age 62, of Mansfield, Louisiana passed away on June 28, 2025. He was born on October 27, 1962 in Mansfield to the late Morris Troy McDonald and Gloria Patricia Booker McDonald.
A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, LA 71052. Officiating will be Pastor DJ Thomas. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. located at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, LA 71111.
Mike graduated from Converse High School in May 1980. He was a loving and loyal son, brother, and friend. He was best known for his giving spirit and ability to make you laugh. There was a determined spirit about him. As it became apparent that this disease was terminal he said, “I’m gonna go down fighting” and he did!
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Sarah Craig (Madison Campbell); brother, Ricky McDonald (Rhonda); nephew, Logan McDonald; niece, Emily Prudhome (Jeremy); great-nieces, Peyton McDonald, Rylee McDonald, Raegan Prudhome, and Jordyn Prudhome.
Honoring Mike as pallbearers will be Pam Garcia, Vicki Hubbard, Jennifer Powell, Barbara Houston, Brook Sistrunk, Courtney Brooks, Melissa Nussman, and Karen Broussard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joe Garcia and Steve Hubbard.
