Evan Daniel Koller, 39, of Ft. Thomas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his residence. Evan was generous with his family and friends, sharing in good food and good times. He fostered a love of curiosity in his boys, exploring science and technology alongside them. With his own experience as a football player, playing as number 78 for Highlands High School, he greatly enjoyed coaching Landon's football team last year and growing his son's love of the sport. Evan loved to build new Lego creations with his younger son Daniel, and was working on fostering an appreciation of the Transformers franchise with him.
Evan was a talented chef, delighting everyone with his creative and delicious recipes. He was also on the executive committee of Mardi Gras for Homeless Children for the past 11 years and enjoyed volunteering his time to support this wonderful event.
Evan always spoke about two accomplishments he never let anyone forget to be shared upon his passing. With his strong baritone voice, Evan sang at Carnegie Hall in 2001 with the Chamber Choir. But also at the age of 13, Evan self-diagnosed himself with appendicitis and was eager to help diagnose anyone else suffering from abdominal pain in their lower right quadrant.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nikki Koller. Evan is survived by his parents, Barry & Lauren Koller; wife, Rachael (Landon) Koller and sons, Landon Charles & Daniel Oliver Koller. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to be determined. Memorials are suggested to go to the Koller Boys GoFundMe which will go toward their future education and additional needs they my have growing up. Online condolences can be given at dmefuneral.com. Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Homes are serving the family.
