Evan Lee Peckinpaugh, 38, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. His super loving, kind, and generous heart was very tired.
He was born in Muncie, June 6, 1986, the son of Darrel and Carol (McKinley) Peckinpaugh. Evan attended Muncie Central High School, Brooks Institute of Photography, and Ball State University. He was very musically talented and played several instruments. Evan taught himself how to paint, draw, and make candles. He loved the cinema and knew just about every director, stats, and history especially in the Horror genre.
Evan had a passion for politics and was a Precinct Chairman.
There was not an animal he didn't want to take home. His dog, Eli, was his life and they were inseparable. He loved to thrift shop and rummage with his Mother in-law, Gale Wolf (William).
Evan had the best outlook on life, despite several medical problems and loss of family and friends. His infectious giggle could put a smile on your face and warm your heart. He will be greatly missed.
His surviving family includes his husband, Eric Wolf; sisters Jill Peckinpaugh (Mike Wilson), Summer Friddle (Jud), and Natalie Kennedy (Matt); Grandmother, Marilyn Sutton; Aunt, Nancy Greene (husband Richard); aunt, Lynda Burrel`lo; a sister-in-law, Heather Edwards (Jeremy); and several nieces and nephews, Dustin (Julia), Athena, Kyree, Keith (Cassie), Kaylee, Carly, and Ashley.
His mother, Carol Peckinpaugh; father, Darrel Peckinpaugh; a sister, Vanessa; two aunts, Ginny Peckinpaugh and Jayne Schaffer; and a niece, Krysten Friddle preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), 1209 West Riggin Road, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
