Evelena McCullar Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Morgan Funeral Home - Forrest City on Feb. 13, 2026.
Evelena McCullar, born Evelena Andrew on December 22, 1941, in Tyronza, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at Willowbend Health & Rehabilitation in Marion, Arkansas. She was 84 years old.

Evelena was the daughter of John Wesley Andrew and Bessie MayLou Gatlin. She grew up in a close-knit family and was one of several siblings. She was preceded in death by her brothers Wesley, Milton, Johnny, and James Andrew; and her sisters Louise Lloyd, Mildred Weeks, and Bettie Jean Stewart.

Throughout her life, Evelena was known for her dedication to her work and family. She retired from Warwick Industries/Sanyo Manufacturing of Forrest City, Arkansas, where she contributed many years of service with diligence and pride.

She was married to L. J. "Red" Robertson and later to Jim "Mack" McCullar, both of whom preceded her in death. Evelena's legacy lives on through her five children: daughters Robin Robertson of Cabot, AR; Teresa "Sissy" Campbell (Mike) of Marion, AR; Leslie Susan Holley (Brian) of Surprise, AZ; Angela Scott Tapp of Marion, AR; and son Jay Robertson (Nanice) of Searcy, AR.

Evelena found great joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who will carry forward the warmth of her memory. Her extended family also includes many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her devotion to family and work, Evelena had a passion for reading, sewing, and gardening. Her garden was a source of pride-especially her extensive day lily collection-which she lovingly tended to and generously shared with others.

Evelena's life was marked by quiet strength and enduring love. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. May her legacy continue to bloom as beautifully as the flowers she nurtured so well. A Graveside Service will be held on February 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hughes Cemetery near Forrest City. Arkansas.
