JOYCE ANN MCCULLAR

Joyce Ann McCullar, 78 of Tamaha passed away on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 in Tulsa. She was born in Wilburton on February 8th, 1947 to Noah Francis and Elva (Clark) Francis. She was married to Gary "Pete" McCullar on June 24th, 1995 and made their home together in Haileyville until later moving to Tamaha. She retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Depot. Joyce loved to garden, work puzzles, and spend time with her family. She helped Pete operate Pete's Produce in Stigler. She is survived by Leland French, father of her children; her Children, Bradley French and wife Kendra of Tamaha, Tonya and husband Buddy Cumpton of Eufaula, Jason French and wife Rachel of Colbert, Johnny Shaver and wife Tammy of Eufaula, Jeremy French and wife Sara of Stigler. After marrying Pete, she gained four bonus children, Tonya McCullar of Tahlequah, Tammy and husband Craig Dicus of Inola, Kara McCullar of Oklahoma, City, Amanda McCullar of West Covina, Ca. She had 14 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren with another on the way. Her brothers, Willard Francis and wife Saundra of Red Oak, Virgil Francis and wife Janice of Wilburton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary "Pete" McCullar; her parents Noah and Elva (Clark) Francis; 4 brothers, J.W., Bob, Orbie, and Melvin; her sisters, Juanita Tubbs, Claira Jacquez, infant siblings David, and twin girls. Funeral Service will be held at First Assembly of God Church Stigler, January 19th, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Her brother Willard Francis will be officiating. The Eulogist will be Brother Tommy Parker. Pallbearers will be her sons and son-in laws; Jeremy French, Brad French, Jason French, Johnny Shaver, Buddy Cumpton, Craig Dicus. Honorary Pallbearers, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Burial will follow at Tamaha Cemetery under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home.
