Devoted wife, loving mother, dear friend
WOLCOTT- Evelyn A. (Bucari) Asselin, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 19, 2024. She was the devoted wife of the late Norman J. Asselin.
Evelyn was born in Waterbury on December 15, 1936, daughter of the late Guido and Alice (Stango) Bucari. She was a graduate of Wilby High School.
Evelyn enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a devoted caregiver for her husband for many years as well as being the most loving mother a child could ever hope for. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Darlene and her husband Bob Brown, her son Bryan and his wife Karen Asselin, her most cherished grandsons Brody and Brett Asselin who were the light of her life in her later years. She was predeceased by her son Stephen Joseph Asselin and her sister Doris M. Bucari.
Evelyns family would like to thank her BFF Kelli, who she had shared many wonderful days of fun and laughter with. Her family will be forever grateful to her. Evelyns family is also grateful for the support they received from Trinity Home Hospice, especially her nurse Julie.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Evelyns life on Friday October 25th at a Mass in St. Basil the Great Parish / Pius X Church 517 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott followed by burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
