Evelyn Cobern (Campbell), aged 92, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, in Canton, Texas. Born on August 18, 1932, in Ballknob, Arkansas, Evelyn lived a full and nurturing life characterized by her loving, caring, and kind nature.
Evelyn graduated from Garland High School and spent much of her life in Garland, Texas. She married James Clark Cobern, with whom she shared 60 blissful years until his passing. Evelyn found joy in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, deeply involved in the lives of her family members.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Clark Cobern (Tanna), and her grandchildren, Randy Shutter (Jennifer), Kevin Shutter (Robin), Brandon Shutter (Shannon), Andy Cobern (Tiffany), Warren Cobern, Page Bryant (Kyle), and Cassity Wilkes (Calvin). Evelyn was also a proud great-grandmother to Wyatt and Gunner Bryant; Koda and Lynx Wilkes; and Rachel, Benjamin, Shay, Taylor, Brennan, Dalton, and Brandley Shutter.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, her daughter Sandra Kay Shutter, her son James Allen Cobern, and her brother Norman Campbell, Jr.
A devoted member of the Edgewood Church of Christ, Evelyn's faith played a significant role in her life. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, needlework-creating blankets and baby clothes for children in Africa-and, most importantly, spending quality time with her grandchildren.
The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is overseeing the arrangements. Evelyn's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, as a beacon of love and kindness.

One of my first and favorite memories was taking a bath in the kitchen sink of the old white house. We won't be the same without her, but heaven will never be better now that she's there!
