Our beloved mother and grandmother Evelyn Joanne Davis, 86, passed away on November 25, 2024, in Cleveland, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruth Casteel, husband Waymon O. Davis, her son Brian Davis, and brothers Bill Casteel and Tom Casteel.
Joanne was a devoted wife and mother, raising four children, as well as helping run the family business, Davis Painting and Flooring Company, for many years. She loved gardening, canning, being with her family, and spending time outdoors.
She is survived by Tony Davis-son and wife Sherry, Sharon Cate-daughter, and Danny Davis-son. She has 8 grandchildren, Amy Tippens, Niki Davis, Rachel Barrera, Sara Davis, Katie Davis, Hunter Davis, Peyton Davis, and Parker Davis, as well as 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Joanne is also the sister of Joy Frazier, Ben Casteel, Elaine Sanders, Kathy Casteel, and Mark Casteel.
Joanne truly lit the room with her beautiful smile and she will be remembered as a life filled with kindness and grace. Even as her health declined, she kept her wit and kept us smiling. What a gift she was.
