Evelyn J. Fetzer

Evelyn J. Fetzer (nee Raquet) age 94, formerly of Twinsburg passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was born February 25, 1931 in Cleveland to the late Norman and Lillian (nee McKinney) Raquet. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard J. Fetzer, Sr, a daughter Paula Remley and two brothers Ronald and Harvey Raquet. Evelyn is survived by five loving children, Richard J. Fetzer, Jr. of Maple Heights, Michael (Kathy) Fetzer of Twinsburg, Scott Fetzer of Akron, April Fetzer of Mogadore and Faith Fetzer of Hudson and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Evelyn was a woman of great faith and lived her entire life serving our Lord through church committees at both Epiphany (a Charter member) and Our Redeemer Lutheran Churches and in the service of others. She had an extraordinary capacity for forgiveness and was successful at conveying the important life lessons by example. In her spare time Evelyn always kept busy....light work in the yard, quilting, sewing, various types of crafts, and reading (her favorite passion). She was an insatiable learner and strove to keep her brain sharp. Evelyn was not known to be the "social butterfly" or the "life of the party" but the party or gathering would not have happened or been as successful without her behind-the-scenes, fastidious work. She possessed exceptional organizational skills and was an excellent "commander." That is what she loved most, creating the environment to enable her family and friends to laugh and enjoy each other.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in her memory to The Alzheimer's Association.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Monday, July 14, 2025 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7196 SOM Center Road, Solon, Ohio where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery with a return to Our Redeemer Church where Lunch will be hosted.
