Mrs. Evelyn S. Jackson Greene, age 87 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Greene was born in Trion, Georgia on July 24, 1938, daughter of the late Paul Edward Jackson and Bertha Mae Wilson Jackson. She was a faithful member of the South Summerville Baptist Church and had been formerly employed in the Real Estate Industry. She loved to read and work in her flower gardens. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. “Bob” Greene, daughter, Susan Lynette “Lynne” Greene; a sister, Sarah Anne Green; and a brother, Edwin Quinton “Jack” Jackson.
Mrs. Greene is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Greene will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Greer officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Greene, Danny Greene, Wendell Morris, Todd Hughes, Dan Hughes and DJ Sawyer.
Mrs. Greene’s family will receive friends at the Coffman Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
